Arthritis Profile

Arthritis Profile is an extensive range of tests, whose goal is to diagnose and track the progression of arthritis as well as similar diseases. This entails a sequence of tests that facilitate the diagnosis of inflammation and autoimmune reactions which are related to arthritis and a general check on any joint inflammation. Key Tests Included: Rheumatoid Factor (RF): You will determine the presence of rheumatoid factor that is usually high in rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide (Anti-CCP): Looks for antibodies that are uniquely associated with RA which helps in the screening and treatment. Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR): Determines the rate of red blood cell sedimentation in bottom of the test tube which is an indicative of inflammation in the body. C-Reactive Protein (CRP): Measures the amount of CRP in the blood, protein associated w/ inflammation or response to infection or chronic inflammatory diseases. Uric Acid: Estimates the level of uric acid, which could be an indication of gout – a rheumatic disease due to solidification of uric acid in the joint. Complete Blood Count (CBC): Gives a general perspective of the general health of the blood, amount of white blood cells, which if high signal inflammatory response of the body. Antinuclear Antibodies (ANA): Identify auto-antibodies which attack the patients own tissues particularly relevant when diagnosing lupus, which is an autoimmune diseases where the patient may present with arthritic symptoms.
